Great for basics and comfort, not for organization or harsh abuse Jul 10, 2007
By Amber Hathaway This backpack makes a great alternative to messenger bags as long as you don't need to find anything in a hurry. There is one medium-sized main compartment (big enough for a 2" binder and some books or as a standard overnight bag) and a tiny little front zippered compartment that could barely fit my phone and keys. The on-strap cell phone compartment is too deep and would only be convenient for gigantic Zack-Morris-style cell phones (or MP3 players, which is what I tend to use it for). When the main compartment is full, the zippered area on the front is very difficult to access. If you're looking for something in the main compartment, be prepared to empty the contents to find it, as the physical orientation of the bag does not allow for easy searching. I also get the impression that this bag will not be with me longer than a couple of years, as the construction reminds me of the old $10 Jansport backpacks that would barely make it through a school year's worth of abuse.
Despite all these negatives, I still give it 4 stars because it is exactly what it's supposed to be. At $13, it still is a great deal and does the job it's meant to do. It's easy to pack in a hurry, it's super-comfortable even with pretty heavy loads, and the over-the-shoulder arrangement means you can flip the bag to your front to access it without taking it off, which is really helpful. I wouldn't recommend it for an everyday bag just because there's no organization and it drives me nuts just trying to find a pen in there, but it's awesome for overnights, classes, the gym, and study sessions. Know what you're buying, don't expect glitz and glamour, but still consider this bag if it looks like it might suit your needs.

GOOD BACKPACK Nov 02, 2008

Good for light duty Mar 30, 2012
By Phill Eutzy I was looking for something to replicate the free over the shoulder bags that the big banks used to give out. In all, this does come close, but it is not quite as durable as I would have liked. I primarily use it for college, with a notebook or two and rarely a medium sized textbook. Not even a month later all four corners where the notebook and textbooks rest the interior coating is rubbing off. The fabric itself seems to be holding up well enough (although it is now a vaguely transparent black in those locations), but there are little black flecks covering anything I put in the backpack. The shoulder strap is very comfortable, but the plastic clamp for adjusting the length of the strap has been slipping of late. I've had no issues with the zippers, and the size is perfect for my needs. As a gym bag, or for anything without any weight or sharp edges, I think this would be a great purchase. I can't recommend it for college or daily use.
OK BAG Feb 09, 2012

I was so looking forward to receiving this bag. But upon receipt I feel that the strength of the bag is not so great and it feels flimsy. The large compartment zipper closes very loosely and is not feel secure. Definitely not the quality of a Jansport backpack quality.
AFFORDABLE AND STYLISH.... Oct 18, 2011
By MrFatBastad I use this backpack whenever I go to the gym. So far I have not had any problems with it. It's cheaper compared to most of the backpacks I've seen in similar style inside my local stores.
