Slightly large for a toddler Dec 15, 2009

I bought this bag for my toddler to take her lunch and folder to daycare, and also use as a diaper bag as needed. It is a bit large for her to wear (she is two), but certainly more manageable than a full-size bag. Perfect for holding the items it needs to hold, and her cup is easily accessible in either side or front pockets. We've been using this for a year and it is still in perfect shape.

I was hoping to get a backpack for my 2 year old, but he'll have to grow into this one. That said, it is a nice bag. Heavier and nicer than I was expecting. I will use it while he grows into it.

The quality of the little backpack was better than expected, considering the low price. The materials and workmanship are comparable to other packs I looked at which were much more expensive. It will work OK for my smallish 4 year old, but would be perfectly sized for an average 5-6 year old. We'll be using it for hiking. The curved, padded shoulder straps and easy-access stretch pockets on the side and back are great for water bottles, snacks, etc. The material feels like the durable cordura that my backpack is made of. Very pleased with this purchase overall.

I had no complaints about this backpack for my boy who just started preschool in the fall. However, he just decided to drag it along the sidewalk for a good few yards this week, and it got a tear in the fabric on the bottom. I guess the durability isn't what I'd hoped for, but it wasn't terribly expensive, so I shouldn't be expecting a heavy fabric protecting the bottom. It doesn't appear that he'll outgrow it for a couple of years; as he gets larger, he'll probably be able to carry it at full capacity. The zippers are all easy, the color is bright, and the pockets are quite nice.

Perfect size for our 4 year old. Other packs advertised for kids seem more suited for 6 year olds and up. Construction is better than expected.
